Agricultural exports grow 14% in Perú at beginings of the year.

Blueberries got 85% of growth.

This january were registered sells for US$ 745 millions in agro-exports, this represents a growth of 14% compared to last years january according to the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (MIDAGRI).

In the first month of the year, the agricultural exports of traditional products representated 12% and added US$ 90 millions, number that means and increase of 238% regarding to the registration in january 2021, while the non traditional, the remaining 88%. Making US$ 655 millions, number 4.4% higher to what was observed in 2021.

In that month, blueberries had a growth of 85%, fresh grapes a 6.2%, preparations used for animal feed a 53%, other uncooked fruits a 62%, tara seed mucilage 150%, prepared or preserved mangoes 163%, frozen asparagus 60%, among the main.

On the other hand, the top 10 export destination countries for peruvian agriculture were the United States, Holland, Hong Kong, China, Ecuador, Germany, Spain, Canada, South Korea and Belgium.

The projection of the agricultural sector is to end the year with US$ 10,000 millions in sales of food exportations.
